WHERE IS MONTEZUMA?
Montezuma is just West of I 75 in the Middle Georgia area. We are 52
miles South of Macon Ga., 22 miles South/West of Perry Ga. And 21 miles North of Americus. The Flint
River flows very close to downtown Montezuma and continues 25 miles South to Lake Blackshear.
TO MONTEZUMA FROM THE WEST of I75: Cross I75 At Henderson/Hawkinsville exit on Hwy 26, 15 miles west of I75. At first red light in Montezma take right fork on Spaulding Rd. (see from Spaulding Rd.)
FROM NORTH I75: turn right at the Perry Fair (Marshallville) Exit. Go Straight for 20 miles. At first stop sign turn right. At next red light take right fork on Spaulding Rd. (see from Spaulding Rd.)
FROM SOUTH I75: turn left at the Vienna-Pitts exit. Take Hwy. 90 through Vienna, Lillie and Byromville and on into Montezuma. Go straight at light on Spaulding Rd. (see from Spaulding Rd.)
FROM LAKE BLACKSHEAR AREA: At intersection of Hwy 280 and the Veterans State Park, turn North between Arrowhead and Striplings Grocery. Go straight for 25 miles until you reach downtown Montezuma and turn right on Cherry St. Go to end of block and McKenzie Agency is on the right corner overlooking the Post Office.
FROM AMERICUS: North on Hwy 49 through Andersonville and Oglethorpe. To see historic downtown Oglethorpe stay straight at bypass 26 and come into downtown Montezuma. At red light turn right on Dooly St. (see Dooly St. above.) If you take 26 Bypass when you cross Flint river take left on Dooly St at first light. (see Dooly St. above)
FROM FORT VALLEY: Follow Hwy 49 South through Marshallville into Montezuma on Dooly St. (see Dooly St. above)
FROM DOOLY ST: (Hwy. 49) turn East on Cherry St. Ours is the Cream colored, two story building at the end of the first block. Parking lot in the rear.
FROM SPAULDING RD: turn West on Beaver St. Our parking lot is at end of first block under"Auto-Owners" sign. |
